Of Scams and Standardizations
I think I’m feeling much better now that I was able to give a letter of cancellation to Danvil. I still don’t know what will happen to my policy, but this sure gave me a slap-bitch lesson on dealing with strangers. It also made me learn how to deal with pressure better.
They better give back my hard-earned money. Or else.

I was talking with someone a few moments ago about code standards. Sometimes we adhere to coding standards too much that developing becomes automatic. I argued that I like coding standards better since we just have to concentrate on logic, which is more interesting, I think. Also, maintenance becomes easier. If I would be the maintainer of a spaghetti-code-written project, I might curse the developers because of too much work. I’ve been there.
But now that I’m thinking about it, I miss do-your-own-thing-I’ll-do-mine kind of development: NO-STANDARDS-AT-ALL. Back in the day, I wanted to bang my head on the wall because every code I was seeing were all spaghetti code. But then again, I really enjoyed fixing the codes even if while I was fixing it, I said to myself, “What a waste of time!”
