Please send SEC your letter of complaint via email to Director Jose Aquino at jose.aquino@sec.gov.ph.

You can also send a letter of complaint to the Insurance Commission at pubassist_ic@yahoo.com.ph

Most importantly, send a letter of cancellation to Danvil Plans ASAP at mypolicy@myfamilyfirst.com. Better yet, go to their office at the 4/F of Equitable Bank Bldg., Paseo de Roxas, Makati, to cancel your account.

For the letter of cancellation, please give valid points so they you are almost sure they will grant you the said cancellation. The important thing to do to compose this letter is to read the fine prints of your policy, and counter-attack them. For instance, it was never stated in their policy (the printed one), that their policy is non-refundable. Did they ask you to write the non-refundable thing AFTER you swiped your card? That’s actually a candidate for fraud.

Actually, people in Makati are nice, but those in the malls, well, to put it mildly, we really have to be careful about them.

Naguguluhan na po ako kung pano ang gagawin ko dahil nabigla ako sa dumating na letter sa akin galing ng danvil, and not expecting that such letter, nakaka 20k na ko ng naihuhulog at patuloy ko itong pinagdudusahan sa pagbabayad sa credit card, kinakatakot ko lang kasi anytime pala pwede ipasa sa ibang company yung mga plans na katulad ng sa akin ano po ba ang pwede kung gawin, pwede ko pa po ba mabawi yung naihulog naguguluhan na po kasi ako tinatawagan ko naman po yung contact number nila hindi ko naman makontak

planholder ako but i wanna terminate this plan kasi i cannot stand their ill-practices and non-compliance on issuing receipts. after my mom read the letter i received that danvil will transfer the preneed portfolio to legacy consolidated plans, she got frantic.

i’ve been very silent for two years in hopes of having an investment in the future. you know what? kung ipapaterminate ko ang plan, 10% lang makukuha ko or P3000 to think na nagbayad ako for 2 years at parang defensive ang mga agents ng FFI or Danvil kapag magde-decline ako. Parang defensive ang agent na nakausap ko on phone, he never told me the behind the scenes of transfer.

what will be my action? please lang, sana malaki ang makukuha ko after i file a case. I’ve signed a contract, but since I am doubting about their service (esp. family shield, which they never told me wala pala akong makukuha kung 10 years and nothing happens to me).

I understand your worry regarding the transfer coz I am a planholder myself. Buti ka nga 10% ako i mean 0% but I am still going to continue. I got some contacts in the inside and they told me, I have nothing to worry about, since, Legacy Plans is also the company that bought CAP and another pre-need company which was I think Pacific Plans, so I thought, hindi naman siguro ganun nalang basta basta bumagsak to and I think that the government is also regulating Pre-need companies.
As per contract talaga, Plan Termination Value is the amount you will get if you pre-terminate your policy before maturity date. So, lugi ka talaga, they are saying na this move will lure a lot of planholders to avail this plan termination, which is good for the company and not at all to planholders, kaya I advise huwag magpadala sa situation, this thing happened also during the buy-out last year.
Regarding naman sa Family Shield mo, if you dont need it better cancel it nalang coz it has no returns. For now, just focus on your baseplan and I hope you will think a million times before you cancel, pakiramdaman mo muna, sayang kasi. I had my email somewhere in this blog you can message me anytime for the current updates of what is happening inside, I already talked to severak planholders also, so lets just see first.

Thank you for your advice. Oo nga, 10% ang makukuha ko, kaya lang may masasayang pa rin if I cancel Family Shield eventhough mas makakahinga ako ng maluwag when I cancel it than wasting gazillions of pesos, ayt?

Anyway, iba na yata ang contact number ng Danvil Plans. Maaari mong tingnan sa Danvil website.

About dun po sa hulog ninyo, nasa contract po kasi na may certain amount lang po kayo makukuha after a certain amount of time ng paghuhulog. Yun nga po ang medyo delikado sa mga investments, hindi po natin talaga alam kung kailan mag-fail yung hinuhulugan natin.

Subukan niyo na rin pong magtanong sa Danvil kung ano po ang maaaring gawin tungkol diyan. Sa case ko po kasi, bago pa ako nag-start ng paghuhulog, pina-cancel ko na talaga ang plan ko. Sulat na rin po kayo sa Danvil ASAP kung gusto nyo na po ipa-cancel yung policy. Kung may reklamo naman po kayo sa paraan ng pagtrato sa inyo ng Danvil, pwedeng-pwede po kayong sumulat sa SEC at sa DTI about it.

Holy crap! I’m the most recent victim of this scam. How do I terminate my account? It sucks that I had to pay 9K for this. I think hypnotized is not the word…i think more of pressured. But how do I cancel my account? I know I’ve spent 9000 from this but how do I terminate my account ASAP?

Good Day! Yesterday (June 24, 2008) was i thought that i made a brilliant decision on securing my family’s bright future.. Na biktima din ako ng Danvil Plans.. I wrote a cancellation letter to them at mypolicy@myfamilyfirst.com mag reply kaya sila?.. I didn’t started yet to pay my monthly.. and my account at Danvil had just been created yesterday?.. So can i also get a refund? They’ve just debited 13,200 on my credit card..and i want it back.. I called my credit card company and they offered to block my credit card number.. but first Danvil should VOID my credit card transaction with them.. I was just pressured yesterday.. and when i tried to leave.. pinipigilan nila ako.. I wish what have you done (getting the full refund) will works out with me..

GOOD NEWS, I’VE GOT MY REFUND OF P23,450 FROM DANVIL. yung transaction ko sa danvil eh nung last MAy 8 pa. but with the help of Diane and IC and SEC, nabawi ko din. i just filed a complaint to danvil plans last june 12, and luckily they have granted me full refund. i also have the same letter from Ms Aurora Diño as of diane stating that they have granted me the full refund of my two policies, one amounting to 16,800 and the other is 6,650. danvil have sent the letter and the credit memo to their bank last june 27, and as of July 3, 2008, the 16,800 was credited back to my CC, im still waiting for the 6,650 to be credited to my other CC. for those who wants to get their refund, just do the following. First send a letter of complaint to Danvil head office at makati, state in your letter lahat ng points like that there is no “NO REFUND” words stated in your contract. and since it is your money you have the right for it. pera nyo yun at hindi nyo pera yun. Try to be peaceful sa letter, wag nyo akusahan ang company ng ung anu anu, maybe it will be a ground para hindi nila ibigay ang refund. sakin kasi nilagay ko dun, unang una, wala akong pinirmahan na nagsasabi na “NOT REFUNDABLE”. Pag nasa head office ka na, be firm, kasi kakausapin ka nila at sasabihin pa din nila na hindi refundable yung policy, basta be firm na gusto mo talaga mabawi ang pera mo. then later on they will get your letter, make sure you have a receiving copy. then sasabihin nila na ipapasa nila iyon sa higher management, kasi sila ang magdedecide kung aprobahan ang refund mo. they will also get the original policy. then wait ka na lang 30 to 45 days. Next, submit a letter of complaint sa Insurance commission and SEC, mas maganda kung walk in ka mismo sa office nila at ipareceive personally ang letter. tapos ayun na. wait ka lang sa progress, and pray hard. syempre include nyo sa letter of complaint nyo sa IC and SEC yung address and email nyo. pati contact number. construct your letter of complaint in a RESPECTFULL manner, kung yun ba ang exact word for it, wag nyo murahin or magsabi ng bad words sa company. state nyo lang kung ano talaga gusto nyo, then sulat nyo din dun yung mga ipinangako nung sales agent na nakausap nyo, for example, ang sabi kasi sa akin, pwede ko daw bayaran yung initial deposit sa hsbc for zero interest for 6 or 12 months, depende kung ano gusto ko. pero nung na swipe na, full amount yung ginawa. i dont know how they evaluate yung letter para mabigyan kayo ng refund. and please WAG NYO ILAGAY SA LETTER nyo na “BAKIT YUNG IBA, NA-APROVED YUNG REFUND, DAPAT AKO DIN” thats a NO NO.

To others, please let the comment above serve as an added information that Danvil CAN give you your refund if you feel that you’ve been duped. No customer deserves to feel insulted, in any way.

Planholder kasi ako, but since I decided to terminate this plan and totally pull out what i’ve invested due to my dissatisfaction and distrust of my parents (my parents have been questioning danvil’s credibility) so how can I totally pull out? Shall I consult SEC because if Danvil/FFI still persists on non-refundability bullshit, it’s like supressing us customers/clients to pull-out our investments. Stockholder nga napu-pull out nga nila investments nila. Pera sa bangko nawi-withdraw (discipline savings my arse, danvil! danvil plans ain’t bank y’all!). Ang insurance pa kaya, lalo na dissatisfied ang customer because misinformed nga siya.

@Roxy: I am really not sure on this, but SEC is in-charge of Danvil Plans. You can consult them if you feel that the non-refundability aspect of their policy is illegal. You can also ask the Pre-need Federation of the Philippines.

ei Diane, victim din ako ng Danvil sa SM Southmall sa Las Pinas. june 29 aku ngsigned nung sa Plan nila pero august pa ung start nung every month na hulog. ngaun i found out na parang scam xa at kinakabahan ako. isa pa sabi nung babaeng kumausap skin 300 a month lng daw ang babayaran ko para sa Initial premium pero nung chinarge nila sa Credit card ko it’s a whole amount 6,650 at ndi xa installment. cnbi ko sa knila na ayoko kc malaki na ung utang ko sa credit card ko. pero ininsist nila na 300 a month lng daw ang babayaran ko. then after mcharge ung 6650 tumawag aku sa HSBC Customer service tapos sbi ndi xa pay lite meaning buo ko xang bbyaran. ang problem ko sobrang laki ng bill ko ngaun dhil dun. please help kung panu ko po mrerefund ung 6, 650.. tumwag aku sa Customer service ng danvil pero sabi non-refundable daw. tulong po please. thanks

Hi to all, Plan holder din ako ng Danvil plans for about 3 years na mga 40% na yata akong bayad… kaso lng when I researched it sa mga forums… nako po! bakit puro negative lahat! nakaka- sad naman…. It happens na nag expire ang credit card ko so tumawag ang danvil sa akin kung may ibang card daw for continuous payment, sabi ko na man “I dont want to transact thru online or fax , im from davao kasi so it is hard for me to go to Manila… so ask ako ng other option, then they replied sa sa BDO nlng daw with account name: Danvil Plans, Inc…. What do you think guys? continue ko pa payments ko? kung hindi paano yung binayad ko for how many years. Illegal ba talaga to? wag na man sana… paano yung pera ko…. on the other hand kung fraud talaga why nasa SM pa sila untill now? Hindi ba sila paaalisin ng SM kung illegal talga sila?

Buti ka pa nga eh para hindi pa masyado malaki yung sa iyo… eh ako 3 years na….. Sayang din kasing e stop kasi hindi lahat ma rerefund yun… that’s under the policy of insurances talaga…. I used to deal life insurance kasi way back 2003, talaga ganun yung policy may computation talaga sila pag hindi na tapos ang plan…. ang sa akin lng kung in good faith lng.. im willing to contribute until it payments done…. By the way para kay benizer3: amo daw sabi ng IC and SEC? fraud ba talaga tong danvil? paano ba tong sa akin? about 40,000 na cguro ang na bayad ko sa kanila for 3 years sobra….

pipz, on the process na raw ung refund ko sa danvil. within 30days daw e credit back na nila. nag eemail naman ung in charge. sa sobrang kulit ko na tawag na tawag sa knila.
